Hey Everyone. I am finally beginning to put together some workout posts. I didn’t want to start talking about Fitness without having the credentials to do so. I became a Certified Personal Trainer in June and now I am super excited to be sharing my workout tips with you. On a side note, fitness is different for everyone. What works for me, may not necessarily work for you. I am only writing from my knowledge and experience. I’ve come up with five ways to motivate you to workout and to stick to working out. Enjoy!
1. Find a form of exercise you love:
Personally, I enjoy strength training, but that may not be the form of exercise for you. Find something you enjoy such as running, yoga, Pilates, boxing, something that will want to make you move.
Some people like to reward themselves with treats after a certain period of eating clean. I personally enjoy rewarding myself with cute workout gear. When I wear a new workout item, I go hard at the gym. I feel extra confident and I shamelessly check myself in the mirror a few times (haha).
3. Track your progress
One thing I regret I have is not taking enough before and after photos of myself. I only have a single picture of myself where you can really see how under weight I was before I decided to get in shape (shown above on the left). The scale can be tricky because it doesn’t tell you exactly where you are losing/gaining weight. Take photos of yourself weekly. That way It will be easier to monitor your progress and see how far you have come.
4. Have an accountability partner
It becomes so much easier to workout when you have someone to motivate you. Ask a friend to join you for workouts, join a community (there are tons of meet-ups if you search one in your area), set goals with your boyfriend/husband. Don’t have an accountability partner? I would be thrilled to be yours! Send me a DM 🙂
5. Think Positive
Honestly, no one is forcing you to do this. Have fun with your workouts. Think of them as something you are doing for yourself. Don’t dread it, enjoy the process. I know it may not be easy for some, but it gets easier as your body becomes stronger. Trust me, you’ll love the results!
